The Painted Empress

Somewhere between a dream and a watercolour wash, The Painted Empress collection captures women of quiet power — veiled behind floral fans, reflected in lotus ponds, standing still beneath cascading wisteria and sakura blossoms in soft, misty light. Each piece evokes an atmosphere of stillness, beauty and gentle mystery: a serene peony portrait beside a rain-silvered pond, a woman lost in reverie on a cherry blossom bridge, cranes drifting through a mist-wrapped garden.

Painted in delicate, luminous tones with a distinctly Asian aesthetic, these prints bring a sense of calm elegance to any space — bedrooms, reading nooks, meditation rooms, or anywhere you want a moment of stillness on the wall. They make a deeply considered gift for anyone who loves art with poetry in it.

Available in A3, A4 and A5 sizes, with standard or laminated finishes — and A3 and A4 also available mounted on white foam board. Prints are also available as instant digital downloads — perfect for printing locally or at your preferred print shop.
