Johann Sebastian Bach — Portrait Art Print

A beautifully refined vintage-style tribute to Johann Sebastian Bach (1685–1750), the Master of Baroque Music. His engraved portrait commands the print alongside his own words: “Music was not in search of me, and in search of music. Music is not an idle noise alone, but is the mind and soul.” And below: “The aim and final end of all music should be none other than the glory of God and the refreshment of the soul.” Above his portrait: Soli Deo Gloria.

Three biography sections cover his life as Master of Baroque Music, his Prolific Genius (over 1,000 works), and His Legacy at the very foundation of Western classical music. His famous works are listed — the Brandenburg Concertos, The Well-Tempered Clavier, Mass in B Minor, Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, Cello Suites, St Matthew Passion, and Orchestral Suites. An antique harpsichord and open score of Das Wohltemperirte Clavier complete the composition.

A scholarly and beautiful print for classical music lovers, Bach admirers, and anyone who appreciates the music that laid the foundation for everything that followed.

Available in A3, A4 and A5 sizes, with a choice of Standard or Laminated in all three sizes. A3 and A4 prints are also available mounted on white foam board.
